A Focus on the Wellbeing of Kids
This month (most months, really) we’re focusing on children, and some new Collaborate clients that have a positive impact on children and families that really need it.
Nova Bucks
NOVA provides services to victims of sexual assault and other serious crimes in Bucks County PA, and is a great example of how Collaborate, our custom case management software, can be used by multi-program multi-departmental agencies. It’s made up of 3 primary groups:
- SANE - Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners
- CAC - Children’s Advocacy Center
- NOVA - Network of Victim Assistance
- “Provide support and accompaniment to all criminal justice proceedings”
- “Counseling to help victims, their families and significant others”
- “Education and outreach throughout the community”
They’re upgrading from NCA Trak to Collaborate.
CAC of Collin County
Collin County Children’s Advocacy center has helped over 50,000 children and families over the years, and in 2016, provided services to over 3,300 children and non-offending family members.
They’re a true multi-disciplinary CAC, meaning they have Law Enforcement, Child Protective Services, Therapists, Caseworkers, Nurses, Interns, and Volunteers all under one roof.
They’re also CAC of Denton County’s neighbor to the East, both bordering Dallas, TX.
ForKids (VA)
Their slogan “Help us Help Homeless Families” - which you can do by donating - is pretty self explanatory.
ForKids has established key partnerships with over 400 qualified housing-related resource providers in Hampton Roads with whom we collaborate to ensure our families are connected to care. Approximately 100 of those resources are located in Norfolk.
They provide a variety of valuable services to clients in the area, including:
- Housing Placement
- Job Coaching
- Mental Health Consultations
- Coordination of Care & Critical Time Intervention Case Management
They’re coming from a 100% paper environment, which is great - we were able to put them in touch with another Collaborate client to discuss what worked, what didn’t, and how to best approach such a massive conversion.
